Founder & Artistic Director – Lanél van der Kolff

The Psychedelic Theatre was founded by Lanél van der Kolff, a performer, director, and creative visionary whose life has always been rooted in theatre.

From childhood ballet classes and school plays to formal training in drama and physical theatre at Stellenbosch University, performance has always been central to her journey. In 2010, she founded The Psychedelic Theatre as a platform for artists to collaborate, experiment, and create transformative performance experiences.

What began in the festival scene of Cape Town has grown into an international performance collective, bringing immersive theatre and experiential entertainment to audiences around the world.
